Above Skies is a healing-centered, youth-led community where creativity, leadership, and purpose come together.
We believe every young person deserves a safe space to be seen, supported, and inspired to rise above whatever life brings.
Through art, wellness, entrepreneurship, and mentorship, we help youth ages 10–20 discover who they are, strengthen their voice, and create the life they dream of.
Here, healing and growth go hand in hand — and every story matters.

Our Story
Above Skies was founded by Anisha Kent, inspired by her own childhood and her journey as a mother. Growing up in Zebulon, North Carolina, there weren’t always opportunities or resources to fully explore her passions and dreams. Later, as a mom, she sometimes lacked the resources to give her children the opportunities she wished she had. Watching her kids go through similar emotions she once felt was painful — especially knowing she wanted to help, but couldn’t always.
This experience sparked a bigger mission: not just to support her own children, but to create opportunities for youth across North Carolina. Anisha realized there was no better time than now to build a space where young people could heal, grow, and lead — a place where their voices are heard, their potential is nurtured, and their creativity and leadership can flourish.
What began as a personal mission has grown into Above Skies, a youth-led community rooted in healing, creativity, and empowerment. Today, it provides young people across North Carolina with the tools, opportunities, and encouragement to rise above challenges, discover their strengths, and step into the lives they are meant to lead.
Our Purpose
We exist to help youth rise above through healing, creativity, and leadership.
Our programs blend mental wellness, art, business, and mentorship — giving youth the tools to express themselves, find belonging, and make real change.

We’re artists, educators, leaders, and dreamers working side by side to build a culture of compassion, growth, and opportunity. Our people are the heart of Above Skies united by purpose, grounded in love, and always reaching higher, together.
We see the struggles our youth face — from daily stresses to deep challenges that can dim their light.
Above Skies was created to change that. We are here to remind young people that they are not alone, that healing is possible, and that their voices and dreams can shape the world.
