At Above Skies, we’re dedicated to creating opportunities for youth and young adults to rise beyond their circumstances through healing, leadership, creativity, and community support. Our programs meet immediate needs while also preparing youth for long-term independence, wellness, and success.

Our Programs & Impact

  • Youth Voice & Advocacy (Core Mission)

    We believe youth are the experts of their own experience. Their voices guide everything we do.

    Youth Leadership Council: Gives young people a platform to share ideas, shape programs, and make decisions about what their peers truly need.

    Social Experience Projects: Youth share their stories and perspectives through Above Skies media — including our YouTube series, podcasts, and community panels.

    Conferences & Public Speaking Opportunities: Builds confidence and advocacy skills by letting youth lead discussions about mental health, education, and community change.

    Program Design & Planning: Youth actively co-create events, workshops, and initiatives that reflect their current needs and goals.

  • Basic Needs & Wellness Support (Active).

    We make sure youth and families have what they need to feel safe, supported, and cared for.

    RISE Boxes: Monthly self-care boxes filled with hygiene products, affirmations, and youth-created goods that promote wellness and self-love.

    Seasonal Clothing & Essentials: Provides youth and families in need with weather-appropriate clothing and essential supplies.

    RISE Buses: Offer scheduled transportation for youth to attend programs, appointments, jobs, and special events.

    Emergency Groceries & School Supplies: Supports families facing food insecurity or educational supply shortages.

    Holiday & Break Meals: Nutritious snacks and meals provided during school breaks — not just the holidays.

  • Education, Creativity, & Expression (Active)

    We help youth discover and develop their passions while building the foundation for future success.

    Art, Music, & Dance Workshops: Youth learn to express their stories and culture through creative outlets.

    Tutoring & Academic Support: Provides one-on-one or small group help for youth who are behind in school, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed.

    Community Projects & Performances: Opportunities for youth to showcase their talents and collaborate on meaningful community work.

  • Creative Leadership & Economic Empowerment (Launching Soon)

    We empower youth to express themselves, develop skills, and earn income through creative work.

    Youth-Led Businesses: Programs like Glow with More Amore (natural skincare) and other youth-made products teach entrepreneurship, teamwork, and marketing.

    Paid Leadership Roles: Youth can take on compensated positions within Above Skies events and projects, gaining valuable experience.

    Financial Literacy Workshops: Hands-on lessons in saving, budgeting, and managing income responsibly.

    Job Readiness Training: Resume building, interview prep, and workplace communication support for teens and young adults.

  • Healing, Identity, & Wellness (Active)

    We help youth find peace, strength, and purpose within themselves.

    Wellness & Healing Circles: Safe spaces for reflection, affirmations, and group healing through art, journaling, and mindfulness.

    Personal Growth Workshops: Explore topics like self-worth, boundaries, and emotional resilience.

    Mentorship Support: Youth connect with caring mentors who guide them in setting goals and building confidence.

  • The Rise Zone (Future Impact Initiative)

    Our long-term vision includes The Rise Zone — an indoor fun and wellness park designed to create a safe, uplifting space for youth and families.

    It will serve as a community hub for recreation, creativity, and healing.

    Youth involved with Above Skies will also have opportunities to work, volunteer, or lead programs within The Rise Zone.

    A portion of proceeds will fund Above Skies’ ongoing programs, keeping them accessible to youth in need.
